Donate in Support of Those Impacted by Hurricane Lala
Communities across Hawaiʻi are recovering from the devastating impacts of Hurricane Lala , which caused widespread flooding, damage, and disruption for thousands of families.
Kaiser Permanente has committed to donating $60,000 to support relief efforts for communities impacted by the storms, including $50,000 to Vibrant Hawaiʻi and $10,000 to Kaʻū Rural Health Care Association. The funding will help expand the distribution of food, supplies, and essential resources, with a focus on reaching vulnerable populations.
Kaiser Permanente employees and physicians can help provide urgent relief and aid in long-term recovery by supporting these trusted, nonprofit partners.
- Vibrant Hawaiʻi is supporting Hawaiʻi Island residents through a dedicated Lala resource hub and by coordinating the distribution of food and supplies to impacted communities.
- The Food Basket Inc. is coordinating emergency food distributions and partnering with the Hawaii National Guard to deliver nonperishable, ready-to-eat meals to isolated residents in need.
- Hawaiian Council (formerly known as Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement) established the Kākoʻo Mai Relief Fund to provide flexible support for immediate relief, long-term recovery, and evolving community needs related to the tropical storms.
