Donate in Support of Those Impacted by Wildfires in Communities We Serve

Support wildfire response and recovery in Nevada 

 

The Hawk Fire in Reno, Nevada, put more than 90,000 residents under evacuation orders and burned over 15,000 acres, affecting many people across our community, including members, patients, colleagues, and their families. In addition, the Bug and Stallion fires burned more than 134,000 acres in northern Nevada earlier in August.

 

Those outside of the affected areas can consider donating through KPGives to support trusted organizations responding to the wildfires. 

• The American Red Cross, Northern Nevada Chapter is providing emergency shelter, basic needs assistance, health services, and support for evacuees displaced by the wildfire.  
• Community Foundation of Northern Nevada established the 2026 Northern Nevada Wildfire Relief Fund to provide rapid-response grants to local organizations that are helping wildfire-impacted residents, families, animals, first responders, and communities recover from the disaster. 

 

 

Donate in Support of Those Impacted by the Washington Wildfires

 

Wildfires in Spokane and other parts of Washington are affecting many of our communities, including members, patients, colleagues, and their families. The impact is personal and immediate. In the Spokane area alone, fires have forced more than 65,000 residents to evacuate, destroyed more than 700 structures, and burned over 10,000 acres.  

 

Kaiser Permanente employees and physicians can help provide urgent relief and support. Help these trusted nonprofit partners offering immediate assistance and long-term recovery to impacted communities. 

 

• The American Red Cross, Greater Inland Northwest Chapter is operating emergency shelters that provide evacuees with food, showers, supplies, pet support, and connections to recovery resources. 

• Innovia Foundation is supporting fire-affected communities through the Spokane Complex Wildfire Response Fund, which directs donations to nonprofits, community-based organizations, and businesses addressing short- and long-term recovery needs. 

• Second Harvest Inland Northwest is helping wildfire-displaced families by collecting food donations and funding meals, with every $1 donated providing three meals.
