IsraAID, founded in 2001, is a non-profit, non-governmental organization committed to providing life-saving disaster relief and long term support. Founded in 2001, IsraAID is an Israel-based international NGO and Humanitarian Aid Agency.
IsraAID has worked in more than 52 countries, in both emergency and long-term international development settings. Drawing on an extensive roster of leading Israeli and
international experts – including water engineers, trauma and mental health experts,
emergency response coordinators, medical professionals, and more - the organization has unique know-how in humanitarian response and development. IsraAID’s professionals design and implement high-quality, cost-effective, and innovative programming that reflects the immediate and long-term needs of communities affected by disasters worldwide.
In emergency settings, IsraAID rapidly deploys its teams of experts to directly and effectively respond to the immediate needs of disaster-affected communities. In stabilized
post-disaster or post-conflict environments, IsraAID works together with local partners to
develop and implement sustainable and innovative solutions that meet the long-term needs
of populations, and help them prepare for future crises.
IsraAID emphasizes sustainability and local ownership by (1) strengthening the capacity of
national service providers working with affected communities, and (2) accompanying them to establish sustainable, community-oriented support mechanisms and services.
