Young Mens Christian Association of Metropolitan Los Angeles – Support for Those Affected by the Los Angeles Wildfires

Raging wildfires have displaced tens of thousands of Southern Californians from their homes and exposed many more to toxic smoke and poor water quality, which impacts their health. Many people have lost their homes, vehicles and/or possessions, and are in desperate need. Our employees and physicians have expressed an interest in helping those affected by the wildfires. We have vetted four organizations that are responding.

YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles is providing free childcare for children of first responders, essential workers and displaced families and serving as evacuation sites.

Kaiser Permanente will match employee and physician contributions up to a total of $200,000, to be distributed among the four organizations that have been selected for this campaign.
