Help The Salvation Army assist the unemployed - because 37% of homeless men and 32% of homeless women suffer from co-occurring mental health and substance-use disorders. Unfortunately, many service providers do not have the training or experience to understand the invidious impact of these issues, or how to best employ those suffering from mental illness or past trauma.
